Listen Up, Raiders Haters
If you are a Raiders fan, you have probably been told that you are living in the past. You have been told that the Raiders of yesteryear are irrelevant to the Raiders of today. You have been told that the mystique is gone, and that you should get over it.
Well, tough nuts, folks, because we won’t get over it. The past happened, and it was wild, outrageous, innovative and unprecedented—and it yielded three Super Bowl titles. Around here, “the past” is called roots, heritage and legacy, all of which are woven into the fabric of the Raider Nation, then and now.
But that’s not the end of the argument. The insinuation is that Raiders fans are too dumb to notice that free agency, rules changes, political correctness and other developments have inevitably changed the game of football. The implication is that Raiders fans don’t just rightfully celebrate the 1970s, but are in fact naively waiting for the second coming of the 1970s.
Consider this quote from an article on the Raiders published a few days ago in USA Today: “These are hardly the same Raiders who used to dominate the AFC West and, in some years, the entire league…The so-called Raider mystique is a forgotten memory, like some pop hit from the '70s.”
Am I missing something? Didn’t the Raiders just dominate the AFC West for three straight seasons, culminating in a Super Bowl berth in 2003? When is the last time the Chiefs, Chargers or Broncos went to the Super Bowl? Give me a moment to find an archaeologist and I’ll get you an answer.
It’s a favorite anti-Raiders tactic, this denial of the 2000s, as if it didn’t happen. Then, once you point out that it did happen, whether they like it or not, they resort to their last gasp of propaganda: that Al Davis had nothing to do with it, that it was all the result of a renegade Chucky working outside the reach of Mr. Davis.
Hey, since when does a leader get all of the blame and none of the credit? Who hired Gruden? Who signed and paid Gannon and Rice? Who drafted Brown and Porter? Who are you to criticize Mr. Davis for the bad years and then deny him his great ones?
This is all one thing coming from a Broncos or 49ers fan. After all, consider the source. But it is particularly vile coming from media types who, when they’re not repeating lazy biased takes against the Raiders, are bleating about their own so-called objectivity and inquisitiveness.
Listen up, Raiders haters: The mystique remains. The man upstairs is still dressed in brilliant white. He has engineered five Super Bowl berths in four of the past five decades. As Raiders fans, our roots run deep, but we are more than ready for the future.

When did the Raiders fire Norv Turner?
Thanks, we love dry humor here at Raider Take!
being good, which it takes to win a division title, isn't the same as being great, which it takes to win an NFL title. We could play what ifs and how the Raiders were screwed in New England, but the truth is its creeping up on a quarter century since the Black and Silver truly were thought of as great, and its myth to younger fans and a fading memory to older ones. Purgatory would be a more apt description of where the Raiders are.
These people hate the Raiders so much that they have to be snide in order to hide the fact that they aren't very smart. A quarter century since we were feared? Yeah right. I live by KC and I can tell you we are feared every year. A quarter century since we were great? Yeah. Like the Steelers? No one knocks them. We aren't going to die. Get use to it!
SWEET MY BROTHER!, I RESPECT THE FACT THAT YOU ARE FROM DENVER AND DON'T LET THE PONY LOVERS GET TO YOU, THAT IS GOOD, KEEP IT UP AND I ASSURE YOU THAT THERE IS A HIGHER POSIBILITY OF THE RAIDER'S REACHING THE SUPERBOWL THAN THE PONY'S.
VIVA LA RAIDER'S NATION
hope you put this up. but you are all like the u.s. navy: fat and worthless and a bunch of criminals. even your own team sys they dislike their fascists fans. get ready for another loosing season. Oh, one more thing thanks for improving our win column every season. LOOSERS!!!!!
I love the Raiders but it is really hard to have any faith in a recycled Art Shell and his lame choice for offensive coordinator Tom Walsh. We are going to see brutally bad play calling this season as a result. Yea, bring back the nasty. Great, more penalties. just what we need.
Plus, some bonehead brought in Aaron Brooks. hello? You have to be kidding. Season tickets? You think Kerry Collins peed in the soup, can't wait to see what negative yardage Brooks brings.
HOPEFULLY YOU RAIDERS FANS CAN POST BAIL TO WATCH YOUR BELOVED RAIDER TEAM GET DESTROYED BY THE CHARGERS!
The Oakland Senors, as was there original name, fits better today, than ever. When is Al going to resign, so the Raiders can hire some new, experienced, good coaches, and players. The NFL is different today, get used to it, and join the rest of the NFL world. Where your now a veteran, when your in your mid twenties. The Raiders are a football team, it's not about the Raider Nation, it's about the NFL team. Who gives a damn about a bunch of fans who like to play dress up, and act like hooligans instead of watching and supporting there team. I saw the Monday night game, and I saw hundreds, of the so called loyal Raider Nation, leave there seats to go home. The Raider Nation, is full of gang bangers, drop outs, and other idiots, who don't have a clue about what football is all about. I feel sorry for those TRUE Raider fans that have to be associated with them. Anyway, enough of the fans, like I said this is about the NFL team, the Raiders. A team who is going down, and becoming a laughing stock, instead of the great franchise it use to be. Yes, the Raiders might have won AFC championships, and gone to the Suberbowl, but the last time I checked, all those are still second place, and no one really cares about second. If you're playing for second, or ravel in the fact that you got second, your an idiot, and a fan that the team would be better without. You can also blame refs all you want, but the fact of the matter if your a team that goes to the Suberbowl, you shouldn't have to worry whether the ref made a bad call or not. You just got out and play, and do it all over again, better. So if you sack him once, you should be able to do it again. Don't blame losses on refs. Great teams never do, they go out and play, and they just win baby. This team is in major need of an over haul. They need a coach who knows how to use his players to the best of there abilities. A coach that will coach, instead of writing wish lists and love letters through the damn game. They need a line that can give the QB at least a few seconds for his recievers to get down field, and give him a chance to throw. You need recievers that when they get that chance will make a play, instead of droping the ball. You need a RB that can out run defenders, and a line to create wholes for the RB. You need a defense that can stop the run, that can blitz once and a while, and that can make teams go three and out. You need a defense that can create fumbles, get interceptions, and pressure and sack the QB. You need a team that can avoid false starts, holding, face mask and PI calls. You need all this and time is ticking. Rebuilding years is what I see in the Raiders future. But I'm sure like with all teams they'll come out of it, but never to the days of past. I'm not a Raider hater, I'm a realist, and the reality is the Raiders have consecutive loosing seasons, and looking to add on to that. So no matter how much raider fans dress up, and act up, when other teams play the raiders, they wont fear an "L" in the schedule, but they will fear that there lockers will be vandalized. With that, I will admit to being a Raider "so called" FAN hater, and my sympathy ,and apologies do go out to those true fans, and wish those TRUE fans the best of luck for THEIR team. History lesson: Al Davis was a Charger before a Raider. Don't forget that just like a Charger, he stole the Raiders from Wayne Valley, and brought a bad taste to Oakland. Since then Al has always cried and wined to get what he wants, not for the better of his team, but for his pocket, and pride, including moving his own team. Oh, and if your wondering, I picked Anonymous because I didn't want to sign up for this blog. This blog is a blog, and you should be able to take the criticism. If you want to call it that.

Ya, but you still suck!!!
it's not so much the raiders as a team we hate, it's all you ignorant, stupid costume wearing, battery throwing, boozed up, obscenity screaming assholes who call yourselves fans! what, is it halloween every day in oakland? don't you guys ever see yourselves on tv? what a bunch of morons! i've seen raiders fans try to start fights outside arrowhead after losing! how smart is that? fortunatley chiefs fans are at least civilized and not some hairy assed neanderthal spoiling for an ass whipping (oh, i'm sorry, neanderthal is probably too big a word for you uneducated goons). take your childish costumes, attitude and your worthless fucking team and shove it up your ass! the chiefs own the raiders! since 1985 the chiefs are 31 and 9 against that worthless bunch of convicts! the chiefs also have a better lifetiime record. commitment to excellence my ass! it's more like commitment to excrement! just lose baby!
It is truly satisfying to watch the man that Al Davis fired 17 years ago comeback and whoop the Faiders every year. I mean Tony Kornheiser put it best when he said the Faiders are "unspeakably" bad. What is worse is that Art Shell can't get the ball to the only man who could make a difference on the team Randy Moss. Wow what a bunch of losers.
Love,
Bronco billy
I'm not sure if all these haters know exactly what it is to be a fan of your team.
It's not the "costumes", or the jersey that you wear or the memorabilia that you have at home.
It's the passion and the loyalty for the team and their accomplish-
ments through the good and the bad.
Raider nation is alive and kicking
and i'm a fan for life.Don't forget
that if it weren't for the RAIDERS
your teams would starve to death.
So we want all that money back plus
interest,and please keep hating us
and our team. The RAIDERS are a team
of greatness and history,past and
present,but you haters wouldn't know anything about that,because 30
yeasr of your team's history could
not come close to 5 years of the
RAIDERS'glorious and rich history.
To all my RAIDERS family at home and overseas let's keep the tradit-ion alive and feed of the hate and realize that these are all underco-
ver RAIDERS fans or it just could be that all these haters caught their wifes in bed cheating on them with a RAIDERS fan!!!
OK for one, quit wallowing in the past and start thinking about the future or the raiders will never make it past 2-14. Every team in the NFL has history and youre so blind as to not see it.(John Elway, Broncos-Browns AFC title game, 1987) I am a broncos fan, but not a raider hater like you would think. i dont hate the team, its the pompous, 1-in-4-felonist, booze-for-brains, asshole convict, gangsta bitches that riot every sunday night redardless of win or loss. real fans care about their team and and when they win, good, they lose, boo-hoo. raiders fans have one thing in mind: kill the opposition. players on every team in the entire league are ashamed of what their fans do for the team. if youre one of the fans that makes an occasion every game to prove that theyr'e a "fan" and if youre a real fan that watches every game to the end and will do that until you die, then stay that way. sincerely appreciated by the afc west.
it's all about the mother fuen raiders ALL YOU FUKEN HATERZ ARE GONNA SEE THAT THIS YEAR YOU LOSERS ARE GOING DDOOWWNN AND WAT DEAL WIT IT I'M A TRUE RAIDERS FAN KUZ I THINK THEIR THE SHIT AND YOU HATERZ CAN TELL ME WAT EVER BUT THEY ARE STILL MY FAVORITE TEAM AND WILL ALWAYS BE HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! AND WAT SO BACK THE F... OFF!!!!!
Happy Halloween to Raiders fans. Todays the only day you dont look like an idiot. OOOOOO scary its a gang member dressed as Darth Vader. Bring your costumes to the Bears game and see what happens.
Raider Nation what up! I live in Colorado with all these donkey fans. I grew up in Ontario, Califas and was a RAIDER FAN and still am. I just want to say that last year I went to the Raider/donkey game and wore my RAIDER jersey with pride!!!! So to all the haters out here, I MAY LIVE IN COLORADO BUT I WILL ALWAYS BLEED OAKLAND SILVER & BLACK!! And when me and some of my homeboys get our Black Hole Mile High Chapter going I'll spread the word.
RAIDER ON!!!
wooo yaay the raiders went 4-12 next year yet they are somehow contenders now because they drafted a running back?
you guys are kidding yourselves. even if russell turns out to be a superstar he's going to have major growing pains his first few seasons.
Get ready for 10 wins... in the next 3 years.
The RAIDERRRRS are garbage folks. As long as Al Davis runs the show, they are garbage. They couldn't even score with the best wide out of all time, Randy Moss.
The RAIDERRRRS remind me of a washed out 55 year old prostitute.
I think that the Border Patrol should start busting up Raider games. That would be hilarious watching them cart off the wetbacks.
GO CHARGERS!
Dear fuccing Chokeland Faiders,
YOU SUCK!!!
After TB Buccs whooped the holy Shit out MF's asses in the SB XXXVII(48 to 21)in San Diego at that!!(which makes it even MORE ironic)LOL and tearing the fur off of the beating Sliver and Blahh you wetback ass,you and Mumm-Ra (Al Davis)for the last13 meetings steadly and continue to be the crash test DUMMIES of the AFC west thanks.

If god didn't love the broncos the sunset wouldn't be blue and orange. Kiss my ass raiders. And go tell janakowski to got plant his fat ass back on his couch where it belongs. Hell never be as good as tom dempsy or Jason Elana (who was infact a Bronco, for all of you un-educated raiders fanatics). And we don't just hate you silver and black bastards. We hate you with a passion.
