What was the call that hurt today? Only saw the last couple of minutes of the game. I know for sure you cannot be talking about the tripping call. As Chick Hearn would say, you could have called that one with brail.
The refs also sucked in the Chargers game. But referee incompetence seems to be the hallmark of the league.
Yes, I am talking about the tripping call, and braille is what the zebras need.
The "offender" in this instance, Ed Jasper, did not even see the quarterback, according to his own testimony, and I believe him. He was too busy being dragged (held) to the ground and tossed into the path of of Trent Green. Even Randy (Raider Hater) Cross on CBS said it was a hold.
That doesn't excuse the coverage breakdowns on the rest of the drive, but, conversely, the coverage breakdowns don't excuse the bad call.
