Three Postgame Takes
1. Introducing your 2011 Oakland Raiders...That is, your same old Raiders.
2. Then again, the same old Raiders haven't been this electric on offense in ages. How about Denarius Moore? He's exactly as advertised. In fact, he's so good, DHB's starting scholarship might be at risk.
3. Don't kid yourself. Looking at the score, you might be inclined to view this as a hard-fought shootout. But the truth is, it was an epic meltdown in the classic Raiders fashion of going soft on defense and generally screwing around in a way that painfully evokes memories of Stuart Schweigert, and then finding that surefire way to let the other team score the inevitable winning touchdown in the waning minutes. Allowing two fourth-down conversions on the final drive? You can't make this stuff up.
P.S. Here come the Jets, Patriots and Texans in rapid succession. Hold onto your hats, it's going to be a wild ride.

The soft D, while not a true prevent, was enough to allow Fitzpatrick to tear us apart underneath.
This loss is ALL on the defense.
Relevant? Seems like RT is doing another 180.

We have a good chance against the Jets, the Patriots and Texans scare me to death! But I believe we can make Sanchez make a bunch of mistakes...
Defense will be a problem ALL year most esp routt and johnson. They suck!
Mcclain and others missed a LOT of tackles. Then, those stupid penalties... Sorry but didn't I mention these very things in the last take? But yes - these very things will kill us all year!
Routt did his job and even made a big play. Johnson, on the other hand, had 2 pass interference calls that helped keep the Bills alive. That & the fingertips tackling that let what should have been plays for minimal gain turn into long runs for 1st downs.
We came out strong, and then relaxed the second half; much like we did against the Donkeys. That was deplorable. Its like there is no patience against the run. Someone always seems to shoot their gap, instead of maintaining their gap and making a play; or someone else make a play (Weakside LB and Safety).
We had great pressure on Fitzpatrick all day (even in the second half); but our soft play against the pass couldn't produce any results for our benefit. I miss Nnamdi.
The loss is ALL on the prevent defense. Prevents you from winning.SCALR8R
make no mistake. this was a terrible, shot to the gut, loss.
but even so, i do not want to overreact to it.
a bunch of teams have been up and down in the early going.
i think ravens fans are shaking their heads also.
so the jets game is now a huge game for us.
home opener. pats waiting next. lets call jets game a must win.
and lets see how raiders respond.
IS MCKLAIN ANOTHER MORRISON, WHAT GIVES WAS HE INJURED OR WHAT...HE WAS JUST WALKING ON THE FIELD.
JOHNSON DID HIS JOB, THE REFEREES ARE TOO EAGERED TO THROW THE FLAGS.
MAN THAT KID #17 AND #12 WHEN HEALTHY ARE GOING TO BURN THE LEAGUE...WHAT ABOUT CAMPBELL ON THAT LAST SECOND BOMB.
A LOT OF POSSITIVES A FEW NEGS. WE'LL BE READY FOR NEXT WEEK.

Tale of two worlds as usual...

This was a great game...Win or lose it was one of the best games I have watched in a long long time with my Raiders...I'm encouraged by what I see and also feel a let down because that old weakness is still there...213 yd rushing against our "D"...
Now as for the "Pass Crying"....
28/46 264yds -n- Int....How the hell is that so damn bad???
this is what killed us:
25/217yds 8.7yd ave....
That's the definition of a "Stampede"!!!
Get freakin real!!!...It's our same old Achilles Heel that has plagued us for most of this decade
But this was the reality:
Third Down Efficiency 4/11 - 36%
But they were 2 for 2 on 4th dns and got this:
The other thing that killed us was the "Zebra"s who helped them keep drives alive...There were some "BS" calls in this game including that "TD" that never got in but was never reviewed!!!
If you go back I posted that I expected the Bills to come out a little flat and the Raiders to take advantage....We did and they were very damn flat...What I didn't expect was for them to wake up like that in the 2nd half...So our "D" looked great during their flat times but exploited during their awakening...That's football!!!...
You can't stop everything and their "O" was making some great plays even under good pressure...That's hard to take away when it's on...By the same token they couldn't take away our game when it was on but we went threw a flat spot in the 3rd to early 4th and failed to keep up the heat....That's what gave them an opportunity to come back....
So I'm highly encouraged by that 323yd passing from "JC" and by our whopping:
Third Down Efficiency 8/12 66%
1 for 1 on 4th dn too...
Add in that 131yds rushing and we produced 464yds total...Nice!!!...But NOT enough!!!
I will break it down by the halves and post it...2 different games against 2 different "O"s is how it will appear...

Los Raiders son numero uno....no importa que aigan perdido contra los bills
Tough loss to swallow.
For the D to give up 5 TDs in the 2nd half is inexcusable. Why did the D go so soft? I'm hangin this one on our new, old DC.
Did Fitzpatrick attempt a pass that traveled more 20 yards in the air? It was very apprarent that the Bills were going to run short patterns ... an obvious recipe for the Raiders to play press coverage.
Did we forget how to blitz?
In spite of our Charmin soft D, 2 plays would have iced the "W";
T. Branch missed INT in End Zone ... right through his hands. TD Bills.
C. Johnson missed INT in End Zone ... didn't secure the ball, stripped, Bills allowed to live another down.

Total: 11/50yds 4.5yd ave....
Rushing 2nd half:
15/167yds 11.1yd ave....
This is what killed us and the passing was working as a result...So all that crying for Namndi's loss is very unrealistic...Also we were playing Zone much of the time but still decimated by their run so you can also get off all that crap about "M-M" being the root cause of our Run "D" failures...

PR, so far I'm 11-4. So far you are 8-7. We did not pick the winner-winner-chicken dinner for tonights game between the Rams v Giants
I'm going the Giants on this one, the Rams are broken. Who ya got?
Things I'm going to tell myself until proven otherwise: (which may very well be this Sunday)
1. This was a West Coast team traveling across the country on a short week that just MAY have lost a little bit of steam defensively against a nicely game planned offense in the second half.
2. If this exact game is played 10 times in a row you've got to think Stanford Routt and/or Tyvon Branch catch those dropped interceptions at least 8 times right?? Either one of those plays gets made and all were talking about is how exciting it is to be going into our home opener undefeated.
3. Every player is entitled to the occasional "bad game" and Rolando McClain certainly had one.
4. Denarius Moore is EXACTLY who we have been waiting for. Seeing him on Sunday was a stark reminder that its been a LONG time since the Raiders have actually had a PLAYMAKER at the wide receiver position.
5. This next stretch of games will be insanely tough, but it appears we will face the Jets without Mangold and Patriots without Aaron Hernandez. (Grasping at straws? Maybe. )
6. I think there's a very real chance that, going by the rule book, a case could be made that by the time they hit the ground Denarius Moore had just as much claim to that ball as the defender. A tie is suppose to go to the receiver right??
7. We find a way to win on Sunday and all is forgiven.
GO RAIDERS.
It's the tackling, stupid.
Especially when a team is dinking and dunking it all day as the Bills were. You have to tackle the receivers and the Raiders didn't do it. And can't believe no passes were batted down by the DL - better be getting their hands up against Sanchez because he'll be doing much of the same.
Brutally painful loss.
Are you kidding me pantyraider!!! THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE RAIDER DEFENCE SUCKS!!! OPEN YOUR EYES WE GAVE UP 35 POINTS IN THE SECOND HALF...30 FREAKIN MIN...FIVE TD'S IN A ROW WASH THE PIXY DUST FROM YOUR EYES AND STOP IT WITH THE FANTASY CRAP.
Derick from Section 344...
Nice Breakdown....Don't let the "Anti-Raider" "HateTripper" attitudes than come here dissuade you from showing faith in your team...Week #2 is NOT the end of the season and remember our "DC" never had an off season to be able to instill the changes that we're going threw so it learning on the fly...Give it a little time to get corrected...

The Bills had 5 possessions in the 2nd half and scored 5 TDs.
The person that I'm seriously pissed at is DC Bresnahan. The guy played "not to lose".
He failed to make adjustments which were staring him in the face. It doesn't take a FN rocket scientist to figure out that the Raiders D needed to do 3 simple things to negate the Bills short passing game;
(1) Crowd the line of scrimmage
(2) Play tight man to man coverage
(3) Force the Bills to go deep
On top of that, Bresnahan went vanilla with the schemes and pass rush.
He failed to create more opportunities for the D to make game altering plays.
He failed to mix things up, attempt more blitzes, throw off the Bills rhythm, get Fitzpatrick off his spot.
The D failed to tackle and make 1, yes 1, single play in the 2nd half. 40 offensive plays run by the Bills and the Raiders couldn't make 1 single play to get off the field.
I'm totally disgusted by the lack of aggression, creativity, execution, and quite frankly, balls, of the D. Soft as Charmin.
Vs. the Jets, the Raiders D seriously needs to redeem itself and rectify throwing away a 2-0 start. The Raiders offense gave our D a 4 point lead, a 11 point lead, a 18 point lead, a 11 point lead, a 4 point lead, and again, a 4 point lead.
Watching this game from the opening snap of the 3rd quarter was the equivalent of watching a slow-mo car wreck that lasts 30 minutes and you are totally powerless to do anything about it.

Several things missing from your annalists:
#1....The "D" made stops only to have a flag give them another set of downs...Couldn't take the "Zebra"s out of this game...
#2...At least 3 times we were in position and dropped the "Int" that would have changed the outcome...So it wasn't a bad scheme as much as poor execution...The players were in position to make plays...
#3....They tried to go deep in the 1st half...In the 2nd half they played shallow while expecting us to play up so they could attack deep...We never gave it to them which was smart...Otherwise they would have scored even quicker...
#4...With the spread "O" we couldn't crowd the box even if we wanted to...With the "Shot-Gun" it was difficult to get pressure in the short passing game with such a quick release...If we had been dedicated to stopping the run we would have been even more vulnerable to the pass with sparser coverages...
#5...The last play of the game was a dual possession and should have gone to the "O"...We score and we win by 4 points...
#6...The "O" slept threw 1 1/2 quarters of play...28 unanswered points was on that "O" just as much as on that "D"...Had they even scored a "FG" it would have changed the outcome and with Jano how was that NOT accomplished in the 3rd threw half the 4th???

I find this very funny:
(1) Crowd the line of scrimmage
(2) Play tight man to man coverage
(3) Force the Bills to go deep
From you who have done a repeated BeatDown on the Raiders for our "M-M" coverages...And the point of the "Spread" is to do just as it says...Spread out your "D" so you can't crowd the box...And going deep is exactly what they are designed to do...We took that away and they had to modify their gameplans as a result....
PantyRaider...Sheech!!!...It's Always Wrong No Mater What!!!/_

That wasn't the same D that played in Denver. 5 TDs and 40 plays and not a single stop. We could have fielded any other D in the NFL and done better. No way to sugarcoat it; that's as bad as it gets.
Anno 4:56...
That wasn't the same "O" that our "D" faced in Denver nor was it the same "O" they faced in the 1st half this week...
Sometimes teams can explode and come up on their pipe so to speak...Buffalo did that...They got hot and we couldn't stop a hot team...
But the only reason they were able to come back is that our "O" went cold threw the 3rd and into the late 4th....28 unanswered points are on our "O" for failure to keep up the pressure and take valuable time off the clock to save a "D" with it's hands more than full and getting very tired...
PantyRaider...Total Team Effort!!!/_
Unfortunately, the Bills (courtesy of the Raiders) have provided other teams with the blueprint to beat the Raiders defense (i.e., spread offense with short to medium throws and the occassional run to daylight).
The Raiders have proven yet again that they cannot adjust their defense to game situations.
Look in the Raiders.com video archive from last week (just prior to the Bills game). Bresnahan stated in an interview that the Raiders don't game plan for opposing teams. They play their style of defense regardless of the opponent.
That's what Asomugha and others have said for years.
I look for the Jets, Pats and Texans to give the Raiders big doses of the same thing (plus, here comes three QBs that can throw downfield when it's open). It will be up to the Raiders to make the changes.
Hue Jackson:
"This has nothing to do with an official, has nothing to do with a call, has nothing to do with nothing. This has to do with a group of men finishing a football game that they had an opportunity to win, and they didn’t do it."
Now I'm really confused. Is Jackson blaming himself or is he blaming the team?
The Raiders made no FA moves to improve their D in the off-season, so they must believe the talent exists. By extension, Sunday's epic meltdown on defense would imply the problem rests with coaching and scheme.
For those who would make the argument, lack of training camp is a poor excuse for a team that brought back every starter on defense except one. Why didn't it affect the offense?
This is a tough week and raises some valid concerns about where the Raiders stand after almost nine years of spinning their wheels.

#1....The "D" made stops only to have a flag give them another set of downs...Couldn't take the "Zebra"s out of this game...

(The Bills had zero success going deep and I would bet they attempted to go deep less than 2 or 3 times the entire game. The Bills offense adjusted to a short passing game. The Raiders failed to adjust and FORCE the Bills to try to go deep)
#4...With the spread "O" we couldn't crowd the box even if we wanted to...With the "Shot-Gun" it was difficult to get pressure in the short passing game with such a quick release...If we had been dedicated to stopping the run we would have been even more vulnerable to the pass with sparser coverages...
(Sure it is more difficult to get pressure when the opponent is in shotgun running short timing patterns. Agreed. But I disagree with the premise of not moving the defenders closer to the LOS. When a team runs short passes it is obvious to take away the cushion and provide less room to operate. It is the equivalent of red zone where you are working with less space)
#5...The last play of the game was a dual possession and should have gone to the "O"...We score and we win by 4 points...

Nope. Not true. What I have said continually is that our defensive pass coverage needs to incorporate zone and M2M. This is dictated by the opponent, down and distance, and other factors. There are times when M2M is more effective and times when zone is better. The point is to be flexible to adjust to fit the game circumstances. In this game, press M2M is the obvious way to disrupt the timing of a short passing attack.
BTW, football is like chess. It is keeping the opponent off-guard. It is making adjustments in real time which means making multiple adjustments AND counter-adjustments.

#1...(penalties on the D at inopportune times is the D's fault and not to be shifted towards the "zebras")
That was in reply to your posting that the "D" was not in position to make plays nor able to make a single stop...Your wrong...They were but failed to make those plays and instead one man was flagged giving a new set of dns...Now are you going to break it down and tell me every one of those flags was justified and why no flag was thrown on the play when "D-Mac" fumbled or why a "TD" was not allowed to be challenged or why double possession in the end zone on the last play of the game did not go to the "O"???
#2...Remember what you posted:
(He failed to create more opportunities for the D to make game altering plays.)
The players were there in position to make those plays but failed to do so.....
#3...(The Bills had zero success going deep and I would bet they attempted to go deep less than 2 or 3 times the entire game. The Bills offense adjusted to a short passing game. The Raiders failed to adjust and FORCE the Bills to try to go deep)
YES!!...Because we took that aspect of their freakin game away...Go look at how they played "KC" and tell me they couldn't go deep!!!...
#4...See #3...Playing up would have given up the deeper pasterns...They were predominately in an empty backfield set with 4 "WR"s -n- "TE"...The "RB" was used like a receiver also much of the time when in...That means we had to devote at least 5 to coverages...Either a "LB" or playing a Nickle Coverage scheme...Prolley the Dime...Either way we were limited to 4 "DL" -n- 1-2 "LB"s...
Personally I would have gone to the "Monster Big Nickle"...5 Man Front -n- "LB" -w- 2 "CB"s -n- 3 "S"s...Prolly could have contained the run while getting a little more pressure...One "LB" for containment or the "TE" and 5 "DB"s to assist in run support and cover the 4 "WR"s...Would it have worked against Buffalo???...I don't know???..They were hot!!...
As far as using the "Press B-n-R" it may or may not have been more effective...Risk of the "WR" getting behind the "DB" is increased...But if it made the "QB" hold the ball for one more tick it could have allowed the pressure to get there...But here's the other problem...The "Zebra"s thew flags for any contact even within that 5 yr zone where it should be allowed...Than they flagged a great play saying it was helmet to helmet when there was no contact displayed...So how much "Press B-n-R" could we have used with that crew???
#5...But it did!!!
#6...(sorry but the offense provided 35 points ... to say that the offense was "sleepwalking" is ridiculous)
Show me what they did for some 30 mins of that game...How much time of possession did they have while Buffalo was scoring on 5 possessions???...

i like how hue jackson is saying that d moore did nothing spectacular; and that he was only doing what he was paid to do, make plays and catch the ball at receiver.
hey hue, we get that, and we respect that; but this is something we haven't seen out of our receivers since tim brown and jerry rice. so to us, it is amazing.

playing up on the los does open the deep pass if you don't utilize your safeties properly. you put your linebackers and safeties in a zone, and the corners on man-to-man. that way, even if the receivers run a deep pattern or a post, you have a corner underneath, and a safety over the top; even in a nickel. while your linebackers are taking away the underneath dump off, and spying the qb from running. it's defense 101.
Raider Nate, don't forget, Moore is a rookie, and even though Moore outperformed DHB's own ENTIRE rookie season in ONE game, DHB caught 4 passes for 44 yards against Denver, which I was told is really impressive.

Hue is taking the high road and putting it on the team...That's not a bad thing...But this in NO way makes the statement that those "Zebra"s did their jobs properly...Hue will no doubt file his challenges with the NFL as others have done in the past...Especially getting flagged when he tried to challenge a play called as a "TD"...Sense when is that NOT challengeable???
How many times have we seen "HC" challenge whether a player was in for the "TD"...But now that's "Unsportsmanlike Conduct"???...

Enforced on kickoff.
Please explain that one to me if you can!!!
While your at it explain the NO double possession ruling on the last play of the game too!!!
2-10-OAK 44 (:00) (Shotgun) 8-J.Campbell pass deep right intended for 17-D.Moore INTERCEPTED by 25-D.Searcy at BUF 0. Touchback. Coverage in front corner of end zone. The Replay Assistant challenged the pass completion ruling, and the play was Upheld.
PantyRaider...The "Zebra"s Were Very Much Involved!!!/_
Excuses. Eight years going on nine...Sigh.
we were penalized for challenging the unsportsman-like conduct penalty, not the td.
the double possession call goes to the one with the best position. the ball was thrown high, and the defender had the better position because he a) jumped higher than the receiver, b) clearly had the ball in his hands before the receiver was able to grab hold of the ball, and c) was the player on the ground rolled up in a ball, with the receiver on top of him trying to pull the ball out.
if you watch the replay, i actually agree with the stripeys on that call.
Raider Nate 75...
That's real nice...Now draw that up with 4 "WR"s sets...Your 2 "CB"s are "Press B-n-R" on only 2 "WR"s while the other 2 are now running free unchecked and still presenting quick options for the "QB"...
Forget your foolish "D-101" "BS"...Does NOT compute to every "O" GamePlan!!!
"RT"...
Don't go fishing for stupidity!!
No one is talking Moore down and as far as "DHB" in week #1 he was our top performer in that win so all I said is why do a "BeatDown" on the one who made the plays???
I Said:
"Our passing game wasn't very good but may be improved when we have everyone in the game...Have to feel that this will be an added benefit...It was just good enough to keep them from crowding the box constantly on us so that was effective...Props to "DHB" for leading the way...How about that...A "WR" is our leading Receiver!!!...In fact the "WR"s recorded twice the yds and more catches than the "TE"s-n-"RB"s combined..."
Are you trying to LIE about what I posted???
PantyRaider...I Can Always Produce The Prof!!!/_
No, I didn't say anything about you.
However, I do recall you saying:
"As to starting Murphy was out...Moore is a rookie."
Do you still feel that way? Or do you think that Moore has earned a starting role, rookie or not?
Do you think that DHB is one of our top two receivers?
pr said "That's real nice...Now draw that up with 4 "WR"s sets...Your 2 "CB"s are "Press B-n-R" on only 2 "WR"s while the other 2 are now running free unchecked and still presenting quick options for the "QB"...

4 wrs does not negate your linebackers. 4 man front, 1 linebacker, 4 cbs, 2 safeties. you said it yourself, 5 man front. 5 man front doesn't equate to a 5 man rush.
hell, you can even go 4 man front, 2 lbs, 3 cbs, and 2 safeties, and have the same results; 'cause one of those receivers is a rb in the slot. but in this case, the rb was fred jackson, so you'd need a speedy cb on him.
it doesn't compute because you don't understand strategy.
"we were penalized for challenging the unsportsman-like conduct penalty, not the td."
Where the hell did that one come from???
Come'on Raider Nate 75!!!
If that were the case it would read there were 2 penalties on the play...
"USLC" -n- "USLC" for challenging the 1st "USLC"!!
Here it is again so you can get it right:
(14:15) 22-F.Jackson up the middle for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN. PENALTY on OAK, Unsportsmanlike Conduct, 15 yards, enforced between downs. Penalty for throwing challenge flag on unchallengable play.
Enforced on kickoff.
"RT"...
1-n-1 start with the Jets on the horizon and your still a habitual crier!!!...How pathetic is that!!!
What's wrong with celebrating the fact that we appear to finally have a serious weapon at receiver?
Do you think Moore has earned a starting spot? Do you think that DHB is one of our top two receivers.
My answers are yes and no, in that order. And that's not crying.
"RT"...
Now that's funny...Moore is still a rookie!!!...LoL!!
I love that kid and think he should definitely be in the mix and develop into a starter this season...I'm the one who was pimping him here early on when some were saying he was just another guy with speed...
Who is our #1 when Ford -n- Murphy are healthy..."DHB" also has his best use as well in the run game because he's the best down field blocker with size and a deep threat to stretch the "DB"s so the run is open...
Than we have Chaz -n- Hagen too...
Those 6 can play!!!...Miller needs to go...He sucks in the return game as well...
I have been pimping the "Spread" -w- Moore/Ford/Murphy/Hagen...Than add Chaz -n- "DHB"...Who are they going to cover...Now throw in Boss/Ausberry or "D-Mac"/Bush/"TJ"/Reece....Damn!!!...Now that could get really exciting....
Did anyone see how quickly this "O" can score???....
Raider Nate 75..
This is foolish:
"4 wrs does not negate your linebackers. 4 man front, 1 linebacker, 4 cbs, 2 safeties."
You just took out 2 "LB"s so how are the "LB"s NOT negated???
"you can even go 4 man front, 2 lbs, 3 cbs, and 2 safeties, and have the same results"
You still negated one "LB"!!!
Now how much support do your 3 smallish "CB"s give in the run "D"???
That's why I posted the 3 "S"s....
So now who are they on and with what type of coverages...You said:
"you put your linebackers and safeties in a zone, and the corners on man-to-man."
Draw that shit up and explain how you use it...Press "M-M" as "CJ" was pimping???...
PantyRaider...Lets Try To Get The "D-201"!!!/_
This "BS" should have been a fumble and Raider's ball...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHMrVP4RxLs
The player made the play bu that "Zebra" took what should have been a great play and turned it into a penalty that gave new life to the Bills...
35 points scored by the offense is now officially "sleepwalking".
10 defenders playing good D and 1 defender making a bonehead penalty is now officially ok because at least the team was in a position to make a play (never mind that the stupid penalty prolonged the drive!
Allowing a team to get in rhythm and march up and down the field using a short passing attack is ok because we denied the Bills from going deep (never mind that you can use your safeties in bracket, over the top coverage)
Look PR, I disagree with your entire rebuttal and stand by my post 100%.
I will break it down for you in simple terms;
individual Raider defenders failed in the 2nd half (dropped INTs, dumb penalties, missed tackles, poor coverage etc.)
the defensive unit failed in the 2nd half by allowing the Bills to score 5 TDs in 5 total possessions.
Bresnahan failed in the 2nd half because he didn't create MORE opportunities for the defense to make a game altering play and failed miserably to make in-game adjustments to the pass coverage.
Thankfully, our HC isn't making lame ass excuses for the loss nor is he blaming the refs.
The victory was on a silver platter going into the 2nd half. The Raiders didn't do what good teams do which is to put your boot on the opponents throat when you are up by 18 points, 11 points, 4 points, and 4 points again.
I'm thrilled that we have a professional Head Coach that expects and demands a better performance from his team. Some Raider fans would be wise to take a cue from Hue (no rhyme intended) and raise their expectations. Excuses are for LOSERS.
PR at 1:54 am
the offense was sleepwalking
PR at 9:47 pm
Did anyone see how quickly this "O" can score?
I'm confused by these polar opposite thoughts.
Last time I checked, the Raiders offense accounted for:
35 points
5 TDs
131 yards rushing
323 yards passing
avg. gain of 7.2 yards
4-4 in the red zone ...
yup, the offense didn't do their part.
Go Vote!!....
For Moore Rookie Of The Week!!!

"CJ"...
Your confusion is intentional and ignorant and may I remind you that your here posting free of my contention as a result of what "NYR" posted regarding Pryor's current suspension!!!
You lost that Challenge Hands Down and your denial does nothing except show your total freakin ignorance!!!
Now go back and look...I did what you have never been able to do...I after seeing what I had posted before was inaccurate went forward and corrected myself...You should learn from such an example of honesty and "Manning-Up" instead of trying to turn that into something of confusion!!!
Although it may be confusion to someone like you who can't do it!!!
PantyRaider...I Have Never Had A Problem "Manning-Up"....You Can't Post That!!!/_
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/09000d5d82258c14/Raiders-last-chance
The Bill does not come down with both feet prior to Moore having his hands on the ball...Therefor he does not have possession...Than on the ground there's dual possession of the ball while the official allows another player to help strip the ball from Moore...At which time the ball is given to the "D"...
By rule it should have been awarded to the "O" anytime there's dual possession of the ball when the players are down....NOT according to when their in the air fighting for the ball...
This was a blown call taking the game away from us...Our desperation had worked...
"CJ"..
Just for the record as further prof that I am the challenge winner in your mind as well as mine -n- "NYR"s:
Your utter failure to attempt to pimp me as losing!!!...Had there been the slightest possibility that you could have ejected me from this board you would have been all over it...NO Doubt!!!...
Your failure to attempt it is prof of my triumph over you!!!....
PantyRaider...As The Records Show!!!/_
I love this team... they need to focus on penalties. Simple. Without stupidity, they are unbeatable. Period.
unbeatable if they can stop the fundamental penalties. roughness... ok. offside? false start? stop! Raider ball rules.
Eric...
I agree...This team is on the verge of greatness again....
But many of our fans have not moved forward with this team into being a real competitor...
Our "D" Is Now Going To See 30 Full Mins Of Preasure...Not So In Recent Past History!!
Frequently we were playing from behind so other "O"s could be conservative while trying to run out the clock for a win…Now that will all change and some fans haven’t made the leap with the them into a real competitor…Our “D” will now be up against it every week as teams throw everything they can muster at us…Right from the start because we have shown the ability to strike very quickly and put up allot of points….Teams won’t feel comfortable with a 3-7 point lead anymore…They will want to be 2 or more scores up on us…
Most teams don’t have the running games to destroy us this way and will be forced to diminish their run attacks and air out that “Pig”…This will give us increased opportunities to make plays but also increased pressure on our “D”…
Our “O” scored quickly and used very little time off the clock…13 mins in the 2nd half scoring 14 points…7 mins in 3rd n 6 mins in the 4th…That left the Bills the time to come back and left our “D” gassed…I’m not going to bitch about being able to score quickly…Just posting what the time relationship was and how our “D” will be affected…
So seeing 60 full mins of real exciting football again will take some getting use to...Like in the old days when we were on the edge of our seats waiting to see if we could hold or if there was time for another comeback...Time to pull out that "V"...Some just don't remember how it was but this past game was every bit of that...
We came up short but Damn!!!...We were there and we were playing to win with that winning play right on our fingertips!!!
PantyRaider...That's What Raider Ball Was All About!!!/_
Verge of greatness? Really?
That comes on the heels of allowing the Bills five consecutive TD drives without any adjustment by the Raiders. I’m stunned.
Richard Seymour conceded that was the worst defensive collapse he has ever experienced in his career.
That's alarming to say the least, and should give cause for real concern.
The Raiders next three opponents are arguably more proficient at the same offense the Bills fielded. The Bills just gave them the blueprint. I can’t wait to see if the Raiders can finally adjust... because they couldn’t during the Bills game.
Plus, the Jets have Homes and Burress. Who exactly do we have to cover these guys? They're both freaks.
P.S. Anything less than starter role for D Moore is a sham.
Hopefully, the Raiders will not pretend that DHB is as good as Moore. Come on now. Raider fans aren't that stupid.
This team needs a boost, and Moore is their guy. He should be the primary return man as well as the #1 target at WR.
Did Kiffin recruit this kid at TN? Is that the cause of a conspiracy behind not starting him immediately... like, yesterday?!!
"NYR"...
The Jets "O" is not even in the same league as the Bills...#20 something...It's their "D" that's tough not their "O"...
The Jets can't run and their passing game is weak too....

81 Darren McFadden OAK RB 8/77yds
29 Denarius Moore OAK WR 5/146yds
You know how I feel about stats. Regardless, it's a little early in the season for stats to reveal anything.
I will concede that the Jets offense is only as good as Sanchez, and he's inconsistent. If the Raiders can get to him, then good things will happen. But, as I said, Homes and Burress are freaks at WR. We have no DBs that match up with either of these guys. That's a sad truth.
But the Jets haven't been running the football either. Green and LT haven't had a lot of rushes, and you know with LT coming in, he's looking to light the torch against us.
We need to be concerned with stopping their running game, which is what is going to cause Sanchez to make mistakes. Then we need to adjust our passing defense to capitalize off his mistakes.
I was worried about the offense coming into the game against Buffalo and had no worries about the defense . . . boy was I wrong! I actually think we come out of the next three games with a record of 3-2. I believe we can beat the Jets and Texans (although we have never beaten the Texans have we?) and will lose to the Patriots. I don't know many teams that can beat the Patriots right now!

Our free agent "splash" consisted of signing Kevin Boss.
I said countless times to pack your bags because you lost.
You clearly lost the challenge but want to cling to us signing a 3rd string, supplemental draft pick QB who sits for 98% of the 2011 plays.
At some point in the debate about the challenge, I lost interest. I know that I'm right about a lack of a free agency splash and you know it too. This is my last comment about this noise.

You Lost Interest???....You made a wager and that you pushed yourself into when it had NO concern of yours and you lost interest???...

Hey Jason, we beat the Texans in 2008.
Jason!!...Right'On Bro!!!....
I'm excited about what I see this season from our "O"...Long time coming but well worth the wait...
I'm not as concerned about our "D" as some have been...Sometimes a team can get really hot on ya and everything bounces their way...Can't stop that!!...And those "Zebras"s didn't help any either!!!
PantyRaider...The Jets Are Worried!!!/_
As I reported it appears that Namndi's greatness may have been the system as much as the player:
-----------------------------------Opposing quarterbacks completed only 4 of 14 passes against Routt in the first two games. That places Routt at the top of the list in terms of completion percentage for defenders targeted at least 10 times.
Teams have completed 3 of 9 passes against Revis and 3 of 6 against Asomugha.
-----------------------------------
That's 28.5% against our Routt...
33.3% against the Jet's Revis...
50% against Philly's Namndi...
Now I don't believe that's all on the players as much as on a combination of player -n- system...
It will be interesting to watch this week and see if "JC" is able to be very effective going against their 2 "CB"s...
Also of note is both their starting "S"s are a little lame and limited in practice...Will our speed wreck havoc on them???...
PantyRaider...Interesting Match-Ups!!!/_
Raided Nate 75 . . . we did your right 27-16. For some reason I had it in my notes (research) the other way around. Thanks for the correction!
Jets are a physical team with a pressure Defense, this game will show how much of a "bully" the Raiders really are. I see the Jets using a lot of man to man and keying on the Raiders running game. McFadden or Bush will have to have a big game to win, this is once again, a true test to see where the Raiders really rate.
The Raiders Defense was exposed last game and they will need to show the Jets some new looks or it could be a long day. We will see if the Raiders Defense is able to adjust or will it remain predictable? The Ryan family is very familiar with the Raider Defensive scheme and the Raider coaches, as well as Mr. Davis, will need to show some new looks.
JONES
No question, a different team will need to show up on defense (and perhaps on offense too) to have a shot at beating a tough Jets team (2 straight years in the AFC championship game).
Jets center, Mangold, is out, and his replacement is an undrafted rookie free agent. Seems this might be a good position to try and expoit.
It might help that the game is soldout. Nothing like screwing up the snap count with a really loud home crowd.
The Raiders actually have many things in their favor, but they will still need to play their best football.
Go Raiders!
Pregame take is up.
