How's that for a buzzkill start? Protect the blind side!

Indeed. Also, Flynn needs to hold on to the ball. Well, at least we kept the $108M QB from finding the end zone.

Pryor lookin' good so far. Moving the ball well, good protection up front. Liking what I see defensively too. Minty fresh.

Except for that end zone pick. If there is nothing there, throw it away.

Learned that at QB in High School, and probably taught in Pee Wee football now. Crab Pryor, not a smart way to end a good drive.

INT aside, Pryor looks good IMO. And all the variations of offensive formations are very unraiderlike. Very interesting.

Pryor was looking pro until that moment...But it's a teachable moment.

Very good 1st game, team looked polished and well coached. Even with such little cap space to work with, this is the deepest team since the 'glory days' of Gruden/Callahan.

Pryor could be that 'special player', he looks great in the 'read option', Flynn better be looking over his shoulder, after tonight, there is a definite competition at the QB position. Pass rush needs work, more good than bad in what I saw tonight....Raiders are going to surprise this year, we got ourselves a REAL football team, Ladies and Germs.

I'm excited to see what a healthy defensive line will look like. I think our pass rush tonight suffered because of injuries.
Overall, I know it's preseason, but the Raiders looked decent. I still saw struggles in the red zone that I don't like, and hope we can remedy.

Based on our personnel in our defensive front 4, I believe the coaching staff will need to find ways to activate a 5th rusher in creative, unpredictable ways.

I'm just glad that the Oakland Raiders can and will be taken seriously again. If you watch any of these shows with the 'expert' talking heads, they won't even mention the Raiders unless there is a joke attached to it.

It's all going to change starting this year, they won't have the Raiders to kick around anymore.

Is there anyone who still wishes that Hue Jackson was retained and controlled this team? I think the Raiders are in much better place and I am glad that Mark Davis had enough brains to hire Reggie McKenzie at the advice of Wolf and Madden.

I'm looking forward to an improved product and a team that is ready to play EVERY SUNDAY, or Monday, or Thursday...whatever.

It's all very encouraging, and fun to watch the progression. Let's hope it continues.

@Jones

I am right with you on your last comment. I saw a team that was pretty focused for the first preseason game, committed few very back breaking errors, never lost heart , played with intelligence, energy and even passion (preseason not withstanding). In other words, the play was disciplined, smart and tough. That's what Reggie and Dennis promised from the beginning and we are watching it being brought to life on the field. I am very optimistic for the near and far future!
