Called for 12 men on the field on defense twice, then you put 9 on the field for the 2-pointer! Norton Jr is losing it, he is way in over his head right now. If we lose this game, the clown car should make it's first appearance.
STFU....clown, the only clown is you. You claim the refs don't have it out for the Raiders....if that ain't proof, then you are REALLY BLIND.
Yes they made errors and penalties but the refs called just as many BS calls.
And once again this Raider team shows the SONG REMAINS THE SAME....JUST WON, BABY. So put your whiner blankie away, no way you can bitch about a Raider team that continues to show true grit and heart 5-0 on the road and pulling off the most zainy wins. Even when the refs have been instructed to stop the Raiders from winning, they win....just like old times.
6-2 and in 1st place, hasn't happened since your lover boy Hue was HC. This team is showing it has balls of steel, unlike the guy who writes this blog.
6-2 is amazing, but damn! Raiders broke the NFL record for penalties in a single game. And not penalties from aggressive play but mostly of the really dumb ilk.
Ugly but effective. Gotta like the gutsy 4th down call!
Carr is a star. I go back to our conversation of two weeks ago they need to run the ball more. It would have helped lessen the penalties. D looked solid.
Raiders cannot play this sloppy next week against the Doncos. Embarrassing to have 23 penalties for 210 yards, both being NFL records. NY, you're right too, for stupid ilk, and not aggressive play. False starts, offsides, blocks in the back, etc. I like what Amy Trask used to say about false start penalties, "What? Can you not see the damn ball?" The Bucs were not our opponent yesterday, the Raiders were their own opponent, and they overcame themselves.
Was it me, or did the Bucs seem to quit at the end of the 4th, and after their last possession in OT? I don't know if it was a gutsy win, but Carr is simply on fire, and definitely the better QB in the League right now. Brady is the best because he is angry, and playing lights out. Carr is right there with him though, and it seems he can't be beat. He was on target all day, the only reason he had incomplete passes against him was dropped passes; but the Bucs could not stop him at all. It is a joy to watch him play, and know that he is a Raider.
A "W" is a "W" and I am happy that we overcame ourselves to get one, but I expect better play. The Doncos are dirty players, and they are going to try and get the Raiders off their game by taking cheap shots. Raiders have to keep their composure and grind with minimal mistakes. They cannot afford to give up 200+ penalty yards to the Doncos and expect to win. With the Raiders light at RT, I wouldn't be surprised if Von Miller tries to bait Howard, Alexander, Watson, and whomever else is there with dirty shots. Talib is a the worst, and the dirtiest in the League. Bottom line, make the world a better place, punch the Doncos in the face! JUST WIN, BABY!
Nate. I am amazed by Carr's ability and accuracy to throw deep passes. The pass that Cooper dropped at the end of regulation was literally placed right into his heads 40 yards down field. When you look at Carr, Cooper and Crabtree, and think how far we've come since the days of Heyward Bey et al, it's really something.
By all measures, the Raiders outplayed the Bucs yesterday. That the game was so close is a testament to how sloppy the Raiders were. They need to get their act together to have a chance at beating the Broncos. Like you, I am starting to question if Norton is qualified. Substitutions were ridiculous. His players are not prepared.
On offense, it seemed like Alexander was called for a penalty every time he was on the field. Raiders need a real TE. Walford is regressing and has become a disappointment. Rivera is still the best pass-catching option at TE.
IMO, there's NO officiating conspiracy against the Raiders. Officials are equal-opportunity offenders when it comes to bad calls. Just ask Josh Norman, Richard Sherman and others. Officiating is bad all around the NFL.
Raiders are the new cardiac kids ! Like the wild bunch in a shootout every week.
Raiders are not easy on the heart, but fun to watch. Gotta love the grit, and heart they show every game.
I agree with NYRaider however. Raiders of old got lots of penalties for beating down opponents. Todays Raiders look a little dazed and confused out there sometimes.
Oh well, what other team should have the record for most penalties !! It's gotta be us. We can wear it like a badge of honor, as long as we keep winning baby !!
Like old blue eyes said, Raiders do it their way !!!!!!!!

Looks like our Defense is imploding again.
Just cannot understand why we don't push the ball up the field more. WAY too conservative!

Here's something to jog your memory. When was the last time the Raiders won a meaningful game at home? I say AFC Championship vs Titans.
Raiders need this win on Sunday, and it will be something special. I just hate the media hype around them right now, and hope it doesn't jinx them.
