Seattle Gameday Thread

For the state of the Nation and the character building of this team, you could say that today is, in fact, a must win. GO RAIDERS!

Cooper and Karl Joseph on the Trade Block, and Cooper is out with a possible concussion. This is a sad state of the nation if true. Gruden continues to take away key weapons that made us competitive. This is not going to end well.

Time to bring out the Gruden Clown Car. Our offense continues to fail due to him trying to outsmart everyone. Just cannot bring himself to simple play calling and make it easier on his team. The O-Line was pushed around by a Ken Norton Jr defense, and so far a once high-powered offense has been shut out. How many shutouts did the Raiders have with KNJ as DC? That's right, zero.
The Raiders best drive is happening while typing this, with 9:44 left in the game. Car just got sacked, and now it is 3rd and 11. And he's sacked again. 4th and 12. Well at least we got 3 on the board, so we are no longer shut out.
Pathetic.
Talk around the league that Cooper and Karl Joseph on the trading block, and Carr may not make it with the Raiders past this season. Gruden knows how to come in and destroy a roster. I think the game has passed him by, and he is more concerned about his celebrity status than coaching. Gruden has set the Autumn Wind on fire to watch it burn for his enjoyment. At least Del Rio had them for 3 seasons, and Gruden couldn't even keep the locker a quarter of a season before trying to make his star players walk the plank. I was worried about Gruden coming back, and now my fears have been realized.

I didn't need a win as much as I wanted to see a competitive game. So much for that.

In the era of losing, i.e., since Gruden was traded to Tampa, this may be the worst Raiders team yet. Mark Davis has to be wondering when his $10M-a-year coach will show up.

Kolton Miller was absolutely handled today, and the Raiders did very little to help him. So many others played poorly, but Miller was especially bad.

With the Raiders down by three scores, they did exactly what we've learned to expect from them, runs and short passes, with no urgency to mount a comeback.

This is the most pathetic Raiders team I can ever remember. Think we've hit rock bottom.

There's no doubt in my mind that keeping Del Rio would have yielded better results short term. The way this team has been dismantled and the way the coaching and play calling has been so far this year, it's hard to imagine Gruden isn't way over head.

If Gruden drafts more LTs (which it appears he will need to) and he signs more guys like Whitehead, Doug Martin, Bryant, et al, we can probably expect more of the same next year and maybe for years to come.

Let the race for the top draft pick commence!

Agreed NY,
I think this is pretty much the worst team in the last 15 years, and that includes the year with JaMarcus Russell. I wonder if we will reach the 4 win mark this season, maybe even the 2 win mark. We should hire Del Rio back with Guenther as DC, and Brian Callahan as OC. Somewhere, Del Rio is laughing his @$$ off, and rightfully so. Remember, he and Gruden share the same agent. Mark Davis started talking to Gruden about coming back last training camp before the season. Del Rio knew it. Del Rio knew he was getting let go, lost his locker room because he knew no matter what he did he was going to lose his job. McKenzie will probably be gone after this season, then we will have nothing left but Gruden with his ego uncheck. If we thought these last 15 years were bad, we better hold on to our seats because it will be nothing in comparison to an unhinged/unchecked Gruden ego.
Bucky Brooks is now even writing that Derek Carr won't make it past this season as Raiders QB; on top of Amari Cooper and Karl Joseph sitting on the trading block. Next thing you know, you will be hearing about Irvin being cut, along with Gaeron Conley and a few others of our stellar vets and young players (Seth Roberts, DeAndre Washington, Gabe Jackson) that were going to show us something; while Reggie Nelson, Leon Hall, Worley, DRC, Martavius Bryant, and Doug Martin keep their jobs. I don't know how much more I can take.

Get rid of all the players as far as I'm concerned. they don't win games.

JDR was fired because he didn't win games.

Reggie is on the bubble because in 5 seasons as GM, Raiders have only one winning season.

Gruden will bolt for a college job after next season...because he doesn't win games.

............I KNOW WHAT I DON'T KNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....................

Maybe Gruden will lose patience with Carr, but I have a vision of Carr returning next year and the Raiders going through this same woeful mess all over again. There just aren't enough horses in the barn. Too many aging vets and one-year deals.

If Gruden skips town, then all we will have left is the dumpster fire he left behind.

But I don't think Gruden leaves for at least a few years. There's zero integrity in that. He's got a little more class than Nick Saban... I hope.
