Dolphins Gameday Thread

I'm trying to think of positives right now and am not having much luck.

Brock Bowers is a stud and he is living up to his first-round draft slot (a miracle for a Raiders first rounder). However, having an all-world tight end on a team that is bereft of talent at QB, RB and WR seems like putting the cart before the horse, does it not?

Defense is showing flashes. But don't we say that every year?

Not only do we have the worst QB situation in our division, but also the most unproven coaching and GM situations. Just when you think the Chiefs might start showing some vulnerability, Harbaugh and Payton have their respective teams on a pretty steep path of improvement.

How many more YEARS do you think it will take for the Raiders to build a perennial top force in the AFC West, let alone the NFL?

Again: How many more YEARS?

Anyhow, 10 a.m. PST kickoff in Miami. Might as well go beat the Fins and see what happens from there. GO RAIDERS!

Sad but true, RT.

Although, I would say Telesco is "proven," just not in a good way.

With every game, Antonio Pierce is proving me wrong. I wanted him to remain as HC and thought his style of coaching was what the Raiders needed. Maybe that's still true but he continues to faulter.

In my defense, I also wanted competent OC and a pro GM who didn't just get fired from failures in other organizations.

Pierce's biggest mistake was hiring Getsy. I never expected Pierce to call plays, so this was the most important hire he had to make.

Over the past 22 years, I've never felt this low about the team. I haven't watched games live in a couple weeks. Sadly, I'm actually rooting for them to lose. That's awful but it's the only path I can see to getting a QB..., lest anyone thinks Marcus Mariota can save the Raiders.

To Raider Take,

You've had issues and quit sometimes but you're just staying with it for a minute. you're still with us but not

This is what the Raiders are doing! I said Al wasn't couldn't been the problem! that these new regimes work with the NFL! that the goal was/ is for us to become a corporation and that means our identity and culture and the teams'

Fans will get glamour, entertainment and fancy merchandise but the culture/ teams' vision will be gone.
It'll be a corporation that is about money. yea, they'll win, because the NFL will support them! but it won't be about winning, fans and money but money! fans will be spending on a team that isn't about them but turning it into a 'model' franchise and using it to make money and Raidernation, even if the new stake holders/ owners show them they aren't important to them will keep spending on the Raiders. yep, they will win but it will be copy of a once great team.

Like I've said, haters don't laugh because of what Al did or even the comedy of these new regimes, they laugh because they can't understand how a fan base could throw the guy under the bus that helped create them and in fact, helped create the 'modern' NFL?

negatives:

K. Mack and J. Bosa may not be with team next year because of age and injuries. Chargers need to decide if they want to keep 1/ both in '25 or trade them for draft picks.

Raiders will make trades, they will sign stars next year, because the NFL will be friendlier and back them succeeding. and us? well, once again we will listen and support it instead of staying loyal to the Davis family, wanting to win and Raidernation rightfully/ naturally wants to win and they deserve to win but to accept winning knowing these new regimes after Al passed, were kept from spending, making moves to win but now with new stake holders its' o.k. to win. but if we could've won with these new regimes and the NFL kept us from trying to build a winner why support a regime they put in?

Broncos-

elite HC

strong pass rush and good defense.

Broncos aren't sure of their QBs' and they'll have to decide if they want to build up the receivers or be a run heavy offense. but they are strong on defense but need linebackers and DBs' they have a good or maybe good pass rush, they have a team that will be lead by it. they have been rumored to have a good pass rush so they might have a very good 1. if coach Peyton can coach up the offense this team may be a wild card team next year.

KC-

elite HC

good defense- good pass rush

elite QB

good running game.

a SB contender.

To Raider Take, AFC West '25 part 4

Al-Anon

AFC West '25 part 3:

So, do we quit do we say its' just bad decisions?

I think they're TANKING!

Sadly, IMO...Raidernation is looking to '25! sadly, IMO...the fans are being conned by the NFL!

Conspiracies? the NFL doesn't like the situation L.V. but they're the 1's who created it!

Al did this? I mean, he started the losing? really? how do you have the talent and staff and a good roster and can't have one winning non-playoff/ playoff season for nine years? Al created our winning culture and did hardly anything but try to win. now we have guys who do a below mediocre-average job and get hype(NFL/ media) but don't do anything else. you still think Al started this? we had a good team a few years ago and forget playoffs, just off of being NFL level staff they couldn't see that Carr or somebody as good as him would help Adams help us win?

Take, I think they've kept us back!

1. bring in new stake holders let them run some of the front office and help us build the roster(and maybe staff?).

2. support the Davis family moving to the back of the ownership being minority owners or even selling to the new stake holders.

3. support drafting a "franchise QB" with the 1st pick.

Wow! that's what you guys are waiting for? you giving your loyalty to the new stake holders?

Reggie and MD were inexperienced and media said he was going to take us back to glory but he had to 'clean house' that was 1 of the saddest/ biggest mistakes the Raiders' ever made. if you don't believe Al's last roster was a playoff team fine but who gets rid of a whole roster instead of giving them time and/ or taking a long look at them over a 1-2 year period? we had size, stars, speed and athleticism and now? we go for cheap and average talent, with a few stars and decent but not star college players. we think that's how to build a team but maybe Reggie should've kept some of Al's guys.

Gruden II comes but we didn't understand the NFL didn't want us to do like Al so he couldn't really do much.

The Pat's Guys were mediocre but fans supported them. they were told by the NFL to not spend or bring in elite players. D. Adams helped G.B. and NYJs' more than it did us and also, they got a top star player but gave up high draft picks for him and didn't build/ keep star players to help him to help us win.

A.P. fans supported him but suddenly this team sucks but didn't they have draft picks and star to trade for more talent? now they want to look at '25! wow! now we want A.P. to go but we had time to build a good team and refused! not that we would've been that good but if we are TANKING or trying to wait for a new regime to take over isn't that quitting on the fans and a money scheme? and trying to get the Davis family to let new stake holder run some of the team without experience?

To Raidernation!, AFC West '25 part 5

Al-Anon

So we're supposed to go with a rookie QB? see, some people want to attack our draft the past- 5 to 7 years and use that as a way to put down on these regimes.

Brady is going to coach the "Franchise QB".

Bellichick is going coach the Raiders.

A lot of ex-Patriots staff will work for the Raiders.

what's left of Al's era will be let go or pressured to resign.

Raiders will draft a QB they feel can be elite!

The Raiders have an outstanding defensive staff but the new stake holders may pull a Reggie and fire all of them!

If the Raiders become the L.V. Patriots they probably won't go after top star FAs' but, with Brady they may actually try to sign some of them.

The team will be more salary cap stingy and we won't get those big, faster veteran players who might make us more interesting and exciting.

Also their bias against bigger and faster athletes will get worse.

We'll win but it will be a corporate program and more expensive tickets and no Al Davis in the culture or vision of the team. there will be a focus on money and power not fans and loyalty. Raiders' fans want to be like the modern NFL but the NFL still isn't that crazy about them. they will be cheering for a corporation not a team that had a culture and vision.

"Take...You've had issues and quit sometimes but you're just staying with it for a minute. you're still with us but not"

I think that's a fair assessment.

The Raiders left Oakland and went to Vegas, moved into a dome, quadrupled ticket prices, half fill the stadium with opposing fans, the owner runs with scissors and never learns, and worst of all, the team is MIRED in perpetual mediocrity of its own making, erasing the past greatness of the Raiders year by year. Meanwhile the fans are just supposed to TAKE it. You, me and Raider Nation are in an abusive relationship with one Mr. Mark Davis.

Al-Anon

Dolphins o.k. that not a big deal why because some of us only see defeat and just get this season over with and some are like "Hey, we can get a franchise QB next year, don't trip too hard over '24"! and others are like "We getting Brady to help us build a winner"! Wow! what have we done to ourselves and has happened to us/ been through to make us take some of these schemes and con games?

We want to win so badly that we would accept this kind of con game? if we are really this bad then why would go for Brady taking over some of the decision making. wouldn't an elite HC and/ or assistants make more sense?

Then why didn't NY and others say get an elite HC! if we are this bad why are you supporting A.P. and others who are inexperienced!? wouldn't a Peyton or Harbaugh be a better choice?

Raiders used to go after washed up, unwanted, rejected, 1st round busts, Heisman winners, big/ fast and athletic players and fans said that's what ruined us. Well is K.C. losing? don't fans think a few of those guys might be good for us and guys like Mariota, TP2 and C. Palmer, if the Raiders wanted guys who bring excitement and even though they sometimes mess up badly or are mediocre maybe building talent around them to help us win?

But instead we follow the new regimes and listen to the media/ NFL and its' looking like we're going to draft a rookie QB nothing wrong with that but it seems we want to let the team suck for a rookie QB and wait for a new regime or Brady and Seymore make decisions and build a winner.

And maybe it was/ is the NFL who is trying to get us to support a new ownership.

IMO, the greed of a shiny new Vegas stadium and running smart football operations can coexist, perhaps just not with Mark Davis.

To be clear, I was always in favor of vetting HC candidates, including and particularly Jim Harbaugh. Mark Davis chose not to formally interview other coaching candidates but sat on his decision to hire Antonio Pierce for so long, Pierce had very limited options to vet and hire an OC. That played out right in front of us as Pierce hired Getsy and made the worst decision of his short coaching career.

The Raiders are dysfunctional by character. That predates Mark Davis taking over the team.

We can opine about the ticket prices or the opposing fans in the stadium, but Mark Davis is 3x wealthier. Again, in a perfect world, that should not affect football decisions.

Yet not to be fooled for the umpteenth time in a row, I don't expect adding Tom Brady or even replacing Antonio Pierce will change anything. The Raiders haven't won a super bowl since 1983. The one time they made it back to the bowl, Al Davis had just traded the HC who got them there and replaced him with the dumbest coach in America.

Dare I say, the Raiders are forever cursed by the guy who was solely responsible for their successes over three long and glorious (but forgotten) decades. The Raiders remain the same team Al left them.

"the greed of a shiny new Vegas stadium and running smart football operations can coexist, perhaps just not with Mark Davis."
I don't think there was any "greed" of a shiny new Vegas stadium. Oakland would not negotiate in good faith with the Raiders. We know that is true, because the A's joined the city and county officials to block the Raiders from tearing down the coliseum to build a smaller stadium just for football, and build a stadium just for baseball for the A's; along with a city walk like at Universal Studios. The A's joined to block that effort by the Raiders by agreeing to a 10-year lease on the coliseum with the promise they could build a new stadium onsite. While the Raiders had 5 different investors waiting to go in on the proposed project. They pitched it for the old Howard Terminal, and Oakland officials blocked that 3 different times.
Further, the A's recently tried to push the same idea as the Raiders, and the city and county blocked it by showing them the 10-year lease, and now look; Oakland lost the Warriors, Raiders, and A's in that order.
Raiders tried to get to LA, and was blocked by NFL, and gave it to Rams/Chargers as a last F-U to Al Davis. Vegas wasn't even an option until then.
It is the smartest decision Mark has made as owner; but it has backfired on him because he cannot seem to put together a team that plays football. He is too focused on his WNBA team.
I think you're right NY, that maybe it is not in the cards with Mark Davis owning the team. Not sure Mark will sell unless his mom passes, because she is an owner as well. He has shown interest in selling at times, but I think his mom blocks it. Just my opinion.
I'd like to see someone like Art Shell own it, or Howie Long, or Marcus Allen. I don't know. It's just sad.
With that said, I was a big proponent of AP, still am in some sense. I don't think he was able to get what he wanted as OC, and that is the biggest issue. I also think he shot himself in the foot with all the ex-Head Coaching hires; too many chiefs trying to call shots with different voices. AP needs to find his own voice. Minshew is not the guy, AOC is not the guy, and it is time to find the guy.
The more the season goes on, the more I feel AP might not be the guy.

I believe the only "potentially" viable path for the Raiders to access a QB is for them to continue to lose games this year. That's an awful thing to wish for but, unfortunately, it's probably a reality. It might cost Pierce his job. But if the Raiders have proven anything in their long and dark spiral into the abyss, it's that a QB might be more important than a coach.

Why is it that everybody/ anybody else(32 teams) can be losers, mediocre or winners in a usual way but we have to be the worst losers the longest rebuilds or the biggest issues and special reasons for sucking in pro sports history?

I can deal with being bad for a decade, bad staffs and maybe more than a few of them losing/ having some mediocre -terrible game plans and drafts and FA signings. but nobody loses over a decade without 1 winning season/ missing playoffs but finishing with a winning record.

The Raiders weren't a decent-good team that started winning then got bad. they were an elite team with a genius and just lost a SB to their ex-HC! yes you can fall/ start sucking for years after a playoff run but not with different regimes and PARITY and not with the system Al had.

But wait, Al was feuding with the NFL and as usual suing them. wait! he was helping the NFLPA(Union) to fight the other owners. and he was trying to get owners to fight the NFL over revenue sharing issues now I understand some of you just can't see the NFL doing anything illegal but you see them building stadiums to get 'public' money and doing legal gambling and other things so if somebody claims they tampered/ intimidated a guy who has angered them for decades and you know some of them hated him it just doesn't make sense to you.

You lose for over a decade after the man is gone/ passes away and you say its' a curse! but no it can't be the NFL still unhappy with the way the team is handled?

Happy Holidays!

Get your medicine and learn about the goods/ bad's of these vaccines and give to food/ shelter programs if you can!

Hey Ghost! look we know that football is about X's and O's and I know you're hurting!

1 of our biggest enemies is showing us there is more to football than Bellichick/ modern franchise football!

We should complain! we shouldn't let NY and others tell us that it won't do any good.

The NFL has say in the Raiders, they want to bring in a new stake holder group! they still maybe have hate/ anger at Al and don't seem happy with the Davis family. The sports media backs team owners and they are lying to you about Mark. he may be a bad owner but he doesn't make football decisions its' his staff! but he was told to hire/ keep staff! the NFL/ owners tell him who to hire!

If that's the case/ true then Brady and Seymore are NFL guys and will act like it. Ghost, with them on the team things will get better but only because the league will let them succeed.

We don't need to lose the last connection to AL because media/ NFL wants to con us with the Brady/ Seymore move.

Also, the current regime is only doing what the NFL lets them do. Most of the staff have no say in the team. do you think good assistants would or even think about using game plans like this team is doing? its' got to be something going on!

We could use another vision or create/ make up a new 1. we could use more star FAs' and draft elite guys and hire different NFL staff not just guys that don't do anything! fans can complain and tell them to try these things, if they don't listen- fine, but at least they will know fans aren't supporting their silly actions-, that we don't want them screwing us to bring in new owners/ stake holders.

The Raiders are a privately owned franchise.

Maybe you should write a poison pen letter to the NFL and demand the Raiders get some welfare. Isn't that what you've been asking for?

Or may I suggest a billboard. The Raiders have a history with that, which you selectively erased from your memory.

The billboard message to Al was erected in 2009, and the Raiders remain the same pathetic team 15 years later.

Sadly, your message remains the same too... never evolving with new information. You're surrounded by proof of decades of missteps and poor decision-making which you mostly ignore to pimp unsubstantiated conspiracies. Unfortunately, there's no vaccine for that.

Hey Ghost, maybe they saw the writing on the wall before we did, and decided not to come back until it turned around. Not sure when the last time either posted on here (I am assuming 2016/17?), but I do miss their takes as well.
I think if AP had his choice of OC come in, we'd be singing a different tune; but then again, with our QB and OLine situation, maybe not.
Either way, I have thought about taking the way of Calico and Blanda, and not come back til it turns around. But then, I'm not hurting the team, I'm hurting the community we have built here. So I will stick it out here and post and complain; but I haven't watched a game since a few weeks before the Bye Week; and not going to until I see a change for the better.
Cheers to you all, and hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving.

Happy Holidays!

Ghost, don't give up on the Raiders! we have had it tough but we also have seen some funny, strange and short streaks of success/ good times over this 21 year slump/ losing streak.

FOA...most fans know the NFL isn't/ hasn't loving/ caring about us too much over the years-, maybe they are friendlier now but don't have a lot of love/ care or friendliness for us. so we're used to feeling or seeming like things are not going to work out for us.

We used to be winning or waited for Al to fix the problem and we'd either troll back, post and comment on blogs, laugh or ignore the media/ hater fans who wanted to criticize/ predict a bad season for us.

Now after years of losing we are starting to give up on the Raiders or attack/ be negative about the Raiders or some of their employees when we post or on blogs.

Well, we need to keep our loyalty but not to a scam!

NY keeps telling us there is only silver and black incompetence a lot of bad decisions. no, I don't think so, I think its' a corrupt league, hater NFL execs and the other owners who want the Raiders' 'brand'.

Why? because, they can make huge money they have the fan base and the image that will make big money all they need is a face of the franchise!

But they will be about money. we want to win but we also wanted a family situation and loyalty and props for our spending and supporting them. well, they are over charging fans and building more things to spend on it may be good fun and entertainment but they are giving us toys while 'screwing' us out of of money and, they are giving us a mediocre product- the NFL is a mediocre product!

Fans will get a winner but it will be a corporation with a lot of wall street people running it. as long as we are winning will that keep you loyal? but they will not be too crazy about Raidernation but only the big spending 1's and if they can they'll price a lot of fans out of Vegas and we will see a winning team but it will be a shell, no culture, no loyalty and pricing out fans.
if that's what you want fine but you'll be supporting a conservative, model franchise with NFL men probably a lot of haters and business people trying to look like the Raiders but it will be a shell.

No NY, they are a leaderless, corporate toy that is being sold to new stake holders. But it's not MD who just wants to run a business and be left alone/ get along. but the NFL wants' the Raiders' 'brand' or just get them to let it have some say.

Al: win and win a lot! in fact, dominate! winning is almost everything. this man was obsessed with it and he wanted to please his players and his fans. money was 2nd or 3rd to winning. but now, you fans go with the business side/ corporate view that money is 1st! He built talented teams and got good staff but they STOPPED winning for some reason.

Mark: he wants to let his staff run the football side of the team. he wants to get along with the NFL he isn't Al. he even has ADVISERS that the NFL not Al's friends told/ asked him to listen to. blaming him for the mess isn't right/ true- blame his ADVISERS and the NFL for the mess.

Brady: oh, its' gonna win man is it gonna win! fans will get their winning regime! but you know!? it won't be a mom&pop team, it won't be able fans or players or any of the things Al stood for! without the Davis family all you have is a corporate culture were its' all about power and money! and the attitude toward blue collar-poorer fans won't be nice. sadly, it will be business/ wall street people and some NFL exes running the team but funny! I don't think they'll be making bad decisions, people telling guys not to play for Raiders or refs making bad calls against them, reaching in the draft and not signing top star/ elite FAs' if they can talk them into playing for less. that's what Raidernation will get a new Raiders that wins' but shell, a cheap copy of the team and the 'brand' being used to make the league wealthier. they will over price tickets and not worry about rivalries or loyalty. instead of saying lets do better even winning isn't enough to cover corruption- they'll "just win" and like it but it's just a shell of a once great/ iconic team.

To NY Raider,

The Raiders can't inform the media? yea they can but if the media is against you what can you do? so no, he really couldn't go to the media and expect them to do anything! but you wanted to know if anybody saw anything you mean media/ fans couldn't see this?:

The SB loss in the 1st place and the conspiracy about the game plan/ playbook or/ and the changes Raiders made.

The "Dumbest Team" in America comment! the team was defending AFC Champions!

trading an elite player to a contender for almost nothing in return because he couldn't get a better offer?(Moss to the Patriots '07).

trading an elite player to the NYJs' for a cheap price that just happens to have his friend/ old QB starting for it(A. Rodgers).

20 years of losing!

a 9 year slump with a genius/ icon running it and a decent staff and outstanding roster and, they are defending AFC Champions('03).

somebody telling coaches not to work for Al.

scheduling issues that seem to make the Raiders play East and in bad weather more than other AFC teams.

NY here are some things maybe you should look at-
media is owned by some of the pro team owners. media make huge money off pro sports so they're not going to do too much to upset them.

The dumest team in America comment made a situation that was getting worse look already there.

media works for/ with pro leagues and Al didn't have anybody to tell.

somehow becoming the worst team in NFL/ pro sports? after being 1 of the best in pro sports and after being defending AFC Champions('03).

no regime has been able to win for it since '12.

NY you need to know that some of your questions are good 1's and either can't be answered or need time to find the truth/ facts but here are answers to some of them-
Al DID tell the media but only a few were allowed to say anything in the news about it.

The NFL is powerful and Al feuded with them. MD isn't trying to do anything but run his family business and he is listening to NFL people and the team is losing. it's doing its own thing in some areas but mostly the NFL has say in their team.

Wow! no conspiracies in business!? really? and the NFL has protection against law suits. so you don't hear rumors of or see a corporation being investigated/ punished or giving warnings about wrong doing/ crimes? you never see or hear rumors about businesses/ corporations in the news or see them warned/ questioned or investigated for crimes? so the NFL wouldn't do anything wrong?

Its' been over 20 years and the team sucks and its' had new modern regimes. what's the problem?

I've told you guys many times WHY they are doing this here it is again!:

because they(old/new NFL execs) hated Al

because they see they can get the Raiders' 'brand' now and they can bring in all kinds of people to go to L.V. and spend on NFL football.

because they are getting 'pay back' to Al for helping the NFLPA and not cooperating with them. oh, and trying to sue the NFL and L.A.

they don't want anybody/ people or group on an NFL team not cooperating with them(owners/ NFL and huge corporations)

Al was a threat by helping the NFLPA('03-'08 and that messed with their money/ saving money and controlling players' contracts. the NFLPA WAS helping players but the NFL/ owners didn't want them to have too much power.

Callighan)made the "dumbest team" comment but I'm saying he wasn't a Raider but a hater and maybe wanted to leave and said that to START bickering and dysfunction before he left. how can you be that bad if you're the defending AFC Champions? and what about all the talent you had on the team?

who told coaches not to work for Al? no conspiracy? really? coach Peyton didn't want to work for Al? Its' not that he wasn't older and a little dysfunctional its that you don't think a coach or exec wouldn't learn from him? really? you'd rather work for the Saints or Washington U.(Sarkasian) because you think you're much better off because of what you heard people say about Al?

The AFC Champions losing the next year is 1 thing, a team losing for 9 straight years is another thing.

Really? you mean you get a 4th rounder for an elite WR because that's all you're able to get? do you think N.E. would trade Moss to Oakland for a 4th rounder? and you don't think somebody would give a 2nd rounder for an elite WR? or was it that the NFL/ owners wanted him in N.E. and nobody would trade a higher pick to him? it was Al vs. the league again!

And BTW....Randy Moss says Oakland was a place careers go to die he got that from somewhere else but funny? I always saw

D. Burgess

G. Blanda

A. Bruce/ bust got chance to prove he could play in NFL.

J. Plunkett

N. McCallum/

T. Christensen

Chris Clemons/ pro bowler for Seattle. Raiders turned him into star DE/ edge.

Chris Johnson/ outstanding db. was a real help to our defense.

T. Kelly/ fans criticize for ? but he was 1 of the best DT's in the NFL for a few years.

M. Reece/ Like Todd he was a FA that Raiders turned into a pro-bowler.

B. Sims/ good NFL LT

Ummm...dude careers go to die?

So you think that the Brady decision was MD? dude....come on!

R. Seymore!? well why not C-Wood or even Gruden? dude!..

Brady will make football decision because he won 7 SBs'!? well, you got me there he might know something about QBs and bringing in star FAs'. but then again you almost made a good point/ loss me on this.

he has no experience.

who lets a minority stake holder run his team?

you gonna let him/ Seymore draft players?

dude....that's not a conspiracy?

If you traded D. Adams for Brady you made a strange trade! you're letting haters run your program and you really need to know you're not getting props from real football fans but a lot of questions.

if you want him to be a scout then you have him/ Seymore work with the staff- you don't let him run the Raiders.

I wish you would stop gaslighting us like what you're suggesting is factual.

I can give you millions of reasons why Mark Davis might sell minority interests in the team.

You've got nothing!

Don't be foolish.

NY Raider,

Al-Anon

Happy Holidays NY!

We know this isn't making any sense but we need to question the whole circus/ comedy show! the NFL is doing things and I don't understand that other fans can't see their hand, I know there's no real proof but this situation doesn't make much sense and can't be MD seems like a Corporate take over a lot of illegal/ criminal actions.
1. Al wanted Raiders to stay with the family.

2. Al didn't want the NFL to have anything to do with the Ra

The NFL didn't want Al to succeed with his plans

1. the owners fight/ sue the NFL to get out of some of the revenue sharing rules.

2. to help the NFLPA fight the owners/ NFL and to make them a strong union.

3. to help the players fight against the owners'/ NFL's "new" CBA.

4. paying players big salaries to win. but the problem was the owners wanted a salary cap and a new CBA that will keep players from getting over paid contracts.

5. paying high draft picks big salaries that forced all 31 other owners to have to pay their high draft picks bigger salaries.

Dude!....what player would be so ummmm....so out of touch that he would ignore/ put down on a guy like Al if he did this for them? so when you tell me Oakland was a bad place to play and top players/ coaches didn't want to work for Al that doesn't make ANY sense! no, that was a conspiracy by media and the NFL spreading those lies.

Now we are seeing MD selling a lot of the team but it's a great smart move by him? and letting Brady run the team? why didn't any of the other 31 teams invite Brady to run some of their teams?

Rumor- NYGs' let QB Daniel Jones go/ released him!

Hey, sign Daniel Jones! he's young and might be somebody the Raiders could coach up!

You don't get the "million reasons" do you?

Just like you don't know about the billboard, or that Al's HC Bill Calahan (not media) called the Raiders the "dumbest team in America."

Sadly, you seem to intentionally avoid the truth so you can continue to peddle your misinformation.

Your amnesia aside, the Raiders suck for 22 years and you keep looking outside the organization as to why that might be. You are very foolish.

To NY Raider,

1M reasons?: Find more than two that make any sense?

Callighan didn't want to be HC or be on the team without Gruden. he said those things because he wasn't planning to be there next year! NFL haters probably set back and were very happy about it. but it was said to START the NFL's media attack against Al Davis/ Raiders. Of all the teams to call Dumbest you say it about the defending AFC Champions? this guy didn't care if he made employees mad or if he got fired! he just wanted to leave and the NFL wanted the Raiders to be attacked in the media.

Let's see...

$1.00
$2.00
$3.00
$4.00
$5.00
etc....

You lack reason. That's why your takes make no sense. You're unable to reason why things are as they are. You deny the obvious and gaslight us with the unreasonable.

Show me anything in print or scribbled in crayon that says Bill Callahan didn't want to coach the Raiders. It doesn't exist.

To other Anon,

Al-Anon

Happy Holidays! Lets beat the Broncos! hope you're having a good fall/ winter!

Well other Anon! you see for the past few days we've been seeing some of the most ridiculous and corrupt situations in pro sports!

MD selling stock to a lot of corporate/ wall street people and putting the future of the team in the hands of

Excitement you want excitement!?

Lets make a playoff run! I mean lets:

Mattison is the starter at RB.

Ridder is the QB!

sign 2 veteran edge/ DEs!

sign 3 veteran DBs!

let daddy Turner run the offense!

Tom Brady may be a legend/ HOF'er but he's NOT a scout! why are we listening to non-sense!?

We need to practice in Oakland, CA not Costa Mesa in the summer!

draft CB in 1st round. get a good QB in lower rounds. we need defense.

excitement other Anon!?: fans, complain! start a recall for these new stake holders! if they want to own a part of the team fine...but they shouldn't be running it! vote Raidernation! we need NFL execs! we need some new ideas! waiting for them to draft a QB and Brady to build the team. fans get up and complain! make this a Nation meeting/ town hall, vote for or against new stake holders running some of the team!

The AFC West will be 1 of the toughest divisions in the NFL next year:

Harbaugh is elite

Reid is elite

Peyton is elite

Herbert is a top QB

Nix is a decent QB who may get better

Mahomes is elite

K.C. has a defense

LACs' have 2 top DLs' and a pro bowl FS(James).

Denver has a top NFL defense that may get better with more DLs and LBs.

this team needs help, they need big time players to win and if Brady can draft them fine. but maybe we should find some good front office people.

And Brady and Seymore are going to do what? draft stars?
The AFC West will be easier with Brady helping us?

That fans would support Mark being pushed out solely because the media/ NFL has once again conned them. Al should be able to keep the team in the family.

To Other Anon,

Al-Anon

If you want to see/ hear something exciting about this post well o.k.

The drama of the NFL is worse than the none sense in Oakland/ L.V.

There is no reason they shouldn't be a better team. they did nothing to try and be better over the past 13 years. they've done some of the most questionable things since Al passed

The NFL is a joke and very corrupt! they've managed to come up with some of the most shady money schemes in business history.

Entertainment

Anti-trust

capping player salaries- players can't make ridiculous salaries and that isn't a bad idea owners pay a lot to these guys but the owners can make huge amounts of money. and fans side with them.

federal money

public money

why are these owners moving out of top quality stadiums across NFL cities? this is out of control but you think they are o.k./ have the right to do it. funny, the guy you threw under the bus helped get this none sense started. yep, a fan base that still thinks its'/ 1 of its' creators ruined their team but waits for years for a league that they know isn't crazy about them to help them build a winner.

Sandy, agreed. It's unfortunate. I have a question for you.

I'd like to you know your opinion about what happened this year, or if Pierce should keep his job. You were in the Harbough camp, but Mark Davis never gave you (really any fans) the courtesy of formally interviewing Harbough. Now the Chargers (and Broncos) are vying for the playoffs.

Did Getsy quietly do the Raiders a favor by tanking the Raiders entire season? You track college FB. Are there viable QBs in next year's draft?

Seems if the Raiders win even one more game, that could drastically impact their ability to draft a QB, like last year? There are a lot of 2- and 3-win teams in the standings.

4:34 AM
Blogger nyraider said...

From Hondo Carpenter.

"This team knows they need wins. But they are also smart enough to understand, that we are not going to throw away the future because we desperately need a win in a season where the only thing a win is going to do is push them further down the draft board. They are not tanking. I am not implying that they are. But that is part of the ugly."

10:33 AM
Blogger nyraider said...

This is more important to the Raiders right now than ever before because they need a QB, i.e., the one position which moving down in the draft can drastically impact the results. Teams can afford to comprise any other position except the QB. That's become obvious to anyone watching Gardner Minshew et al.

NY Raiders

Al-Anon

TANKING! why you talking/ posting about it now? seems they've been bad enough/ doing fine when we are building or allegedly building for a playoff run.

That's just not Raiders' football! if we don't get an elite QB well then we'll have to find a good 1 in later rounds. if our front office is a very good/ good 1 next year we might find 1 in lower rounds. Al was able to find guys FA veterans/ trade for good back ups or draft good QBs' in lower rounds so maybe we can do it too, here are some guys who were good/ elite or/ and great QBs' who weren't 1st rounders:

L. Dawson

F. Tarkenton

J. Montana

K. Warner

T. Brady

W. Moon

K. Stabler

S. Young

You see..we don't have to have a 1st rounder to get a good/ great QB- we need to look hard for 1 and maybe we can find a good 1.
